The aim of the two-year project "Foreign internships of students of technical and agricultural fields" is a practical improvement of professional skills of 40 students of the school. It concerns the students of graduation courses Agribusiness, Ecology and biology, Mechanic of machinery and equipment as well as the students of engineering and construction apprenticeship (Mechanic, Repairman of agricultural machinery, Bricklayer, Toolmaker and Construction work). The receiving countries of fortnight long professional internships of the students are Great Britain and Ireland. Students will have the opportunity to gain new experiences related to the study of vocational courses in a real environment of English and Irish companies, enterprises and other institutions. The main need is to increase the competitiveness of graduates of technical education in foreign and international companies especially in regional, national and European context. The sending organization Střední škola technická a zemědělská Nový Jičín organizes the professional internship in cooperation with the partner receiving organization in British Plymouth (Almond Vocational Link Ltd) and Irish Dublin (Swan Training Institute). During the internships pupils do these activities / acquire these competencies: - creating, recording and management of technical documentation - mastery of basic processes in engineering (production, repairing activities, maintenance) - mastering of basic process in automation, - evaluation and processing of data in the field of agribusiness and environmental sciences. Professional training combined with everyday solution of individual and team tasks leads the participants to the responsible approach to the workplace, the awareness of corporate synergy, and it all happens in English. Within carried expertise also grows the interest of participants to perform their work. It is a deepening expertise and strengthening responsibility in the exercise of the profession. Certification in the form of ECVET also ensures international transparency and clear evaluation of the results achieved.
