The main goal of the project is creating additional opportunities for professional and personal development for its participants, giving them a chance to enter the labor market and make successful start in life after graduation .
The main objective of the project, achieved through the internationalization of education in our school, is achieving by the participants profesional skills fitted to needs of the labor market, language and personal competencies .
The project objectives are consistent with goals of the Erasmus + program:
- Contribute to raising the level of key competences and skills to match labor market needs;
- Contribute to the improvement of language skills and to promote linguistic and cultural diversity in the EU;
- Expand the international dimension of education and training .
The project participants will be students of specializations: nutrition and catering services organization technician, catering services organization technician, hotel technician, agricultural technician– a total of 60 people. All participants are learning English. At the time of placements they will be students of 2nd, 3rd or 4th year so at advanced stage of training.
Promotional action of project will be followed by recruitment of participants. They will take preparatory classes in language, culture and education. Then, divided into four groups of 15 students, they will leave for a three-week long internships in catering, hotel and agrituristical enterprises in Italy(two groups) and Portugal(or two groups).
After completion of the placement and return to school, trainees will prepare: on-line filled report, presentations outlining their participation in the project to disseminate the results which will be a long lasting and have enormous impact on their professional and personal life.
The most important hard results of the project are:
- Completing, by the participants, planned and implemented in school course of cultural preparation which inform about countries of placements, professional training which prepare trainees to cope with working under pressure, in situations of stress caused by a foreign environment, poor knowledge of the language etc.;
- Completing by participants language courses (Italian and Portuguese) implemented through web platform;
- Receiving by the project participants Europass Mobility;
- Receiving by the participants, new language course completion certificates;
- Receiving by the participants an internship certificate, issued by the partner organizations.
- Receipt by the participants of catering and hotel specialty barista course as part of internship issued by host partner;
- Professional practice completing.
Main soft results include:
- Achieving new knowledge and skills which increase chances of participants on the labor market;
- Developing knowledge of foreign languages;
- Achieving of teamwork skills;
- Development of intercultural competence (openness , tolerance, acceptance);
- Increasing motivation to learn ;
- An increase in self-confidence ;
- Raising the prestige and attractiveness of the school.
The project will also create material results :
- Photos and videos taken during the project ;
- Presentation outlining the project ;
- A collection of recipes ;
- Materials created during evaluation of the project.
During the implementation of the project, methodology procedure will be based on a clear division of tasks and on principle of constant supervision over all project activities. From the first phase(creating objectives of the project) to the last(popularisation and closure of the project) documentation will be collected, and the responsibilities of project employees team will be well-defined.
Internship will be for the participants of a great opportunity to test their independence, will improve their self-esteem, strenghten their confidence, contribute to personal development. Working abroad(often in multinational team) will enable them knowing and understanding the value of cultural diversity in Europe.
The project participants will acquire skills that make them valuable employees. Employing institutions will become competitive on the market also because of specialist resources. This way, trainees indirectly contribute to support and strengthen the market position of their future employers.
Because of the project the school, as an institution gain experience in international cooperation, increase its prestige and popularity which should improve recruitment .
Host partner of the project also will expand their knowledge and skills useful in the development of international activities. The school and host partner representatives will get to know people raised in a different cultures, which will contribute to development of their sensitivity to issues of intercultural dialogue and diversity of customs and behaviors in other European countries .
