The project "Foreign training as an opportunity for an IT worker" is aimed for students from John Paul the Second Complex of Secondary Schools in Jastrzębie-Zdrój. This project will last two years and it is designed to 2 groups of students (each group of 16 students and two teachers) and it will take place in Chemnitz (Germany) and in Derry (UK). The students of the second and third class will participate in this project. Each training will be continued within 14 days, and the working week will last 5 days : from Monday to Friday. During the days off the students will also have the opportunity to participate in cultural programme including trips to several important places in each of the countries.
The partners of the project are:
F+U Sachsen Chemnitz with its registered office in Chemnitz and the North West Academy established in Derry. Participation in the programme will be preceded not only by the thorough language training but also by the psychological-pedagogical training. Cultural preparation will be also provided. What is more the students will be trained in health and safety regulations.
A variety of diverse actions will be undertaken after the coming back of each group. The aim of these actions will be popularisation and promotion of the project.
Participation of the students from the John Paul the Second Complex of Secondary Schools is honour to the students and it is an extraordinary chance to enhance their professional competences and to broaden their language skills . By participating in this project students will gain knowledge in languages and this may lead to better marks while taking their final exams and , what is also essential, they will definitely do better at their exam of professional competence. What is more we do believe that thank to gaining new competences they will succeed and become more desirable at local and regional labour market. Participation of the John Paul the Second Complex of Secondary Schools is a great way to promote the school also among the younger students of junior-high, who face the problem of choosing their future occupation. This project might be a further step in realisation of European Development Plan in the John Paul the Second Complex of Secondary Schools after the European partners have been acquired.
