Although young people have possibilities to participate in active civil life, but still do not run over them completely. They should be really enabled and comprehended. The goal of project "Youth4Power" is through improvement of youth apprehension of represented democracy and their rights, responsibilities, duties to democratic country, to facilitate their participation in structures of represented democracy and active participation in civil and community life.Four months duration project will encompass visits to partner municipalities (Akmenë, Elektrënai, Skuodas), where will be held meetings with municipal politicians, simulations of municipalities work, discussions on youth involvement into decision making, presentation of system from initiative idea to approved decision. During simulations youth will become acquainted with present possibilities for consultations and learn to evaluate actual processes. Partner organisations from Poland will implement activities in the same frame and then share experience with Lithuanian participants.Project is prepared before elections on local level with expectation to increase young people participation in active civil life.
