Research shows that certain social, economic and personal factors increase the effects of 'Not being in Employment, Education or Training' (NEET).These include having a disability, gender, coming from an immigrant or migrant background or living in remote areas. There is little targeted support for these sub-groups, who require much more specific support to help with their individual needs to access the labour market. Y2W aims at transferring and adapting an innovative support methodology developed in the UK, Career Circles (CC), to meet the needs of the new target group of disadvantaged young NEETs. Pilot circles has been runned in partner countries of CH,UK,AT,PT,EL to test the methodology, including Career Kits. An online community, Net:Work, has been set up to continue the peer-support approach of CC using Web2.0 and social media to reduce isolation and build valuable social capital for the target group.
