Youth Voice: One step closer to sustainability in youth work

Youth Voice: One step closer to sustainability in youth work is a project developed by non-governmental organization Association of Renaissance Institute from Ankara, Turkey. The main aim of the project is to organize an international training course for youth workers from 6 different countries(Turkey, Albania, Serbia, Slovakia, Poland, Moldova) involving 8 youth organizations with 37(representatives from partner organizations who are going to participate in APV are included) participants active in the field of youth work. Project is going to take place in Kahramanmaras in Turkey. Aim of the Project is to organize one week training course for youth workers in order to deepen their understanding of sustainability in youth work and to establish cooperation through the planning, writing long term capacity building project. Overall Objectives of the project: *To gather youth NGOs and youth workers in order to establish a strong ICT based international network which will serve as a tool for increasing sustainability of youth NGOs and quality of youth services *To deepen understanding of youth NGOs'and youth workers about the sustainability in their own organization *To search for ways of setting up sustainable approaches in youth NGOs' *To discover Key Action 2: Capacity Building, as a tool for bringing sustainability into youth NGOs' *To plan and write Capacity Building project by the involved participants (involved organizations) The training is answering the need for increasing sustainable solutions in the youth NGOs and international youth work, and creating long term tool for their implementation - ICT based platform Youth Voice. In order to fulfill this goal, participants will create working groups, design main aspects of Youth Voice thematic network, plan and write new project, Capacity Building, which will be tool for its realization. Training requires attendance of the well experienced participants, who are involved to the management of their institutions and at the same time are aware of the ICT principles. Because of that, we prefer to host experienced participants. During the training, non-formal methods will be used such as brainstorming, discussions, team building games, interactive presentations, small group work, the World Café, etc. As a result, we expect to have common understanding of thematic network, detailed devision of the tasks and responsibilities, Action plans of the involved organizations, and written form for the Capacity Building project. Impact on the organizations will be recognized in the long term measurements. This networking, project writing and designing training will lead to applying for a large scale project and contribution from it.
