Youth policies in the Municipality - prerequisite for sustainable community
Start date: May 15, 2011,

The project aims to increase youth civil activity and involvement of young people in determining the local structural policies in small and remote from the capital cities, in our case municipalities like Popovo with number of inhabitants to 50.000. The project objectives will be achieved by creating conditions for social realization of young people. The youth dimension of the sectoral policies of the local authorities have a huge impact on resources and conditions for the development of young people and lack of efficiency is a factor for low conversion, migration to large urban centers and immigration. Young people will become authors of a study what factors determine their choice of location for realisation and they will hold discussions using the World Caf? method to discuss with decision makers their views on employment, education and training, housing, transport, leisure, health in the small municipalities. They will participate with local government in developing local youth strategies. Project activities demonstrate that youth policies are made not only by organizations and institutions in the capital, but also with the participation of young people and their organizations in remote and small settlements.Youths will produce a video project and will publish it on the Internet (YouTube), to promote the achieved good practices and ideas for development.
