Youth Participation and' Intercultural. Learning" project is a cooperation between the SO, the Vuosaari.Youth Work Unit (Vuny) of the City,,of Helsinki Youth Department from Finland and the HO, the PT Foundation of Malaysia. It is an individual EVS project in• which the young person from Finland will work as volunteer for 6 months in at PT Foundation in Kuala Lumpur. The objectives are to facilitate; youth mobility, inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, active participation., intercultural learning, anti-discrimination, solidarity and tolerance among young people regardless of ethnicity, sexual orientation and religion backgrounds. Through non-formal learning, the volunteer will be able to develop different competences needed for personal fulfillment and development, inclusion and employment. S/he will work with the HO, going out on outreach at gay clubs, help to organize and facilitate youth workshops on safe sex and sexuality, helping on HIV screening and counselling programme, raising awareness and promoting tolerance.
