The project is to increase the overall security of the border region communities with use of comprehensive educational activities. It is planned to establish an efficient system for self-learning for children and teaching them fundamentals of safe living. In the region the number of natural and man-made threats is increasing while the communitys awareness how to prevent potential threats on the household level is low. The educational programme of the project includes various forms of education for children on security during natural disasters and man-made emergency situations like workshops; master classes; first aid seminars and open-air sessions with role-playing games organized on both sides of the border. Also workshops for school teachers, coaches and selected experts are on the agenda.The project activities include production of broadcast promotional videos, audio clips and multimedia educational presentations for learning how to response during emergency situations.In addition at least 50 public events are planned including security awareness campaigns in shopping centers, competitions, demonstrations of fire and rescue services, exhibitions on the history of Fire and Rescue Service.Importantly agreements on introduction of rescue training programs into the official school educational program are to be signed in the course of the project as well as Declaration of the Association of Young Rescuers in the Border Region shall also be originated.
