Croatia is one of the EU countries which is the least involved in Erasmus plus program. This is the result of Croatian youth lack of mobility. Lots of factors are influencing this situation from economic situation, undeveloped government institutions support and programs, culture and tradition to poor motivation and lack of information about opportunities. With EVS project “Youth mobility Cro-EU” we will contribute to increase of Croatian youth mobility in European Union and beyond. Reason why we want to carry out this project is that Urbana mladež is developing in direction of supporting EU youth mobility since 2014. Furthermore all members of Urbana mladež are passionate about education, study, volunteering, meeting other cultures, sharing experience and traveling. Combining all this into project, makes our organization objectives fall in perfectly with Erasmus plus objectives. Objective of the projects are; For local community;- To raise rate of Croatian youth mobility by involving them in various educational, work related, volunteering and traveling opportunities- To inform Croatian youth about various educational, work related, volunteering and traveling opportunities and motivate them to joinFor volunteers- To give international volunteers non-formal education and working experience connected to project management, event management, social media management, public relations and multimedia- To improve international volunteers level of key competences and skills, with particular regard to their relevance for the labour market Number of participants is 2. The expected background of participants:Youth who are passionate about education, study, volunteering, meeting other cultures, sharing experience and traveling. To us motivation and enthusiasm to be part of this project and share passion toward project objectives is the most important condition. Minimum one participant will be with fewer opportunities.Activity is European Voluntary Service of 1 year, which involves 3 partners and 2 participants from Romania and Russia. Venue is Zagreb, Croatia and planned dates are 01.10.2016. - 31.09.2017.All activities will follow the values and principles of non-formal education in European practice. Working method used will be; learning by doing, peer to peer learning, method of group work, research, discussions, demonstration and lectures. Results of the project are;*12 events on various educational, work related, volunteering and traveling opportunities (mobilities)* Built database of Croatian youth and organizations interested in educational, work related, volunteering and traveling opportunities * Newsletter and articles on various topics of educational, work related, volunteering and traveling opportunities * Established support for mobility of Croatian youth* Improved volunteer’s learning performance through non formal learning, managing learning techniques and personal learning objectives* Enhanced volunteer’s employability and improved career prospects through improvement of 8 key competencesThe potential longer term benefits are;* increase of Croatian youth mobility in European Union and beyond* more informed local community on topics of various educational, work related, volunteering and traveling opportunities* raised mobility opportunities for youth with fewer opportunities and their involvement in local and European community* increased openness of Croatian youth culture and tradition toward EU/international mobility and other cultures* raised awareness of Erasmus plus program, European projects and the EU values among target groups
