"Youth in Action for the Climate"
2015 is a key year: the Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 21) aims to reach a new international climate agreement applicable to all countries.
It will be held in Paris from the 30th November to the 11th December 2015.
This is a unique opportunity for young people in Europe to be present and to speak up and fight against climate change.
In this context, we will bring together young leaders from 15 European countries to express themselves, exchange and debate.
objectives:
1 - Training young people to enter into dialogue and structured action and to identify the various project possibilities open to them to engage effectively in their country.
2- Developing Active Citizenship (Youth Empowerment) in sustainable development:
- Educate young people about issues related to sustainable development (climate, biodiversity, raw materials savings, waste management, etc ...), and allow them to acquire the knowledge and skills
3- Create real impact at the COP21 in Paris and speak through the RGE (Resource Group on the Environment) during international conferences / debates
4 - Provide youth opportunities to build the European and global networks.
The participants will meet other young leaders from around the world and create real impact and change.
They will work with the RGE Group from World YMCA to bring their thoughts and feelings to the discussions at the COP 21.
This project is lead by the youth for the youth, to bring action and to share awareness.
