The project addressed the need to promote a sense of global responsibility amongst young people so to contribute at growing sustainable societies and to attain the objectives of Europe 2020 strategy.The project aimed at raising awareness among young people upon global challenges and their effects and foster a sense of responsibility, respect and solidarity. The project objectives were: 1. To build capacity of 17 youth organisations to provide Global Responsibility Education among young people; 2. To build a pan- European network of 29 trainers in Global Responsibility Education. In order to achieve these objectives the partner organised two activities as follows: 1. A contact Making Event fostering a pan European network of youth organisation working to promote Global Responsibility among young people; 2. A training course forming a network of 29 trainers in Global Responsibility Education with young people. The project gave common strategies in promoting global responsibility that were aligned to common European visions and the visions of partners and other stakeholders. Furthermore, the project gave innovative training modules and approaches in Global Responsibility education - a field of non formal educational in which methods and tools are non-existing at the moment. The project strengthened partner organisations capacity to promote global responsibility among young people in their communities.
