The project “Youth experiences in local communities” is an EVS project (KA1) involving the participation of one young volunteers and 2 promoters from 2 countries (Italy and Poland) The volunteer will be hosted by Cooperativa Sociale Liberi Sogni (Calolziocorte, Italy) from May 2015 to November 2016 and will work shoulder to shoulder with professional workers in the field of education and sustainable environment. The main activities will involve Parco Ludico (a youth center) and environmental project (Crazy-lienza. Come back to the nature to grow the future) residential summer camps, all aiming to promote experiences of a more sustainable lifestyle both from an environmental and a socio-cultural point of view. Volunteers will deepen their knowledge and work on themes such as ecology, good ecological practices, sustainable development, cultural identity, importance of internationalization and active citizenship. In the spirit of non formal learning, every activity will involve active participation and direct experience and will increase the volunteers’ skills of working in a team. Moreover, they be encouraged to acquire proficiency in Italian language and culture.
