PROJECT
FINISHED
“Youth exchanges for newcomers” is a contact-making event, which will take place in Pärnu, Estonia, 15.08 -22.08. 2016. The youth leaders, peer-to-peer educators and youth workers from different parts of Europe will have the chance to meet and establish partnership gain the necessary skills and knowledge on youth exchanges and get empowered to develop concrete youth exchange ideas that will be later on applied and implemented. In these youth exchanges we want to make sure that these are the projects BY the young people and FOR the young people (initiated and implemented by young people) and generate high learning outcomes and impact the community. We will include “virtual mobility” meetings in the preparation phase and also during the follow-up, as we aim to achieve a strong group building process. This project is participants oriented and we will promote peer-to-peer support methods during the process in order to foster the good collaborating atmosphere.A total of 12 partners from 10 countries will send a total of 26 participants. The countries involved: Estonia, Latvia, Spain, Finland, Greece, Poland, Romania, France, Italy, Czech Republic. The profile of participants - youth leaders, peer-to-peer educators and youth workers that work directly with young people at the local level and have great contact with them and with or without basic experience in Erasmus+ exchange projects but with many ideas and suggestions for projects and partnerships. We have chosen this target group in order to reach one of the main goals of the programme: projects should be developed by young people (represented by youth leaders) from the very first moment, and their NGO’s should only support the process. Among the results of this project, apart from a good personal learning process for all the participants, we aim to develop 4 or 5 new project ideas ready to be submitted in the following application deadlines. This project oriented phase of our activity will consist of several sessions of the activity programme and also of a coaching phase and “virtual mobility” meetings after June (during the summer time, before October’s deadline). The results will be disseminated during the real projects that will be developed by the participants, where they will have to share all the tools and conclusions achieved in the project. The stardard methods of Facebook page, twitter hashtag and websites will also be implemented for a bigger visibility and dissemination of results, but the project impact will go far beyon the project dates.
