YES- Youth Exchange for Solidarity is a youth exchange for young people with fewer opportunities between 14 to 18 years old which takes place in Barcelos and Braga (Portugal) from 20th to 27th May of 2017. The YES project will involve 30 youngsters and 8 youth leaders from Portugal, France, Spain, Italy and Turkey. The mission of this project is to develop competences of citizenship, active participation and attitudes transformation towards the school progress through universal and attractive tools as sports and volunteering, therefore we can generate more consciousness for cooperation. With this exchange we intend to combine the education developed in schools (formal system) with the opportunities and activities developed by non-governmental organization (non formal education) to provide a wider and more global education and inclusion for these youngsters. To put in practice this mission, we will use intercultural dynamics, reflection moments, sharing of stories and experiences, sports and volunteer activities (in each country and in the hosting country). The various activities promote creativity and will be developed under the framework of non-formal education.
