Youth Exchages - Welcome!
Start date: Dec 1, 2012,

The partnership-building activity (PBA) “Youth Exchanges - Welcome!” is designed to create a fertile platform for new, and creative ideas on youth exchange projects to be developed in the field of inclusion of young people living in rural and deprived urban areas. The unique 1+1 formula of the PBA will bring together both the representatives of young people themselves (who will be participating in future youth exchanges and will let know what are their interests and needs) and also their support persons (youth workers, project managers, etc.), who will be helping young people to develop and implement their ideas. The structure of the PBA will allow participants not only to know better how youth exchanges work and what creative approaches could be applied to them to make them more attractive for youth, but also to know each other better, build trust and work out concrete projects that could be submitted for the next deadlines. The PBA would last for 6 days (excluding travel), include 29 participants that are motivated to build projects together from altogether 12 organizations in Programme countries (Latvia, Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania, Sweden) and Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova). It would be held in Rustavi, Georgia. To assure the maximum effect of the project and serve as a good example for participants, the project would use wide variety of non-formal education learning methods (group work, discussions, role-plays, simulations, etc.) - making the learning process as interactive, effective, fun and creative as possible. The PBA would inspire participants to be innovative in their approaches and methodology of developing youth exchanges. Importantly - the opinions of youth will be taken into account making sure that future projects reflect their interests and needs. The applicant and host of the project is association “Volunteers of Georgia".
