The project was born from previous initiatives funded by the Youth in Action program, in 2013 and 2014. The young people, who took part, have planned a meeting with their peers of other countries to repete the good experiences. The new topic, preview one was emancipation, is immigration and connected policies at EU, national and local level. The decision to discuss this argument and with this partnership was born in Cierna Voda during an event funded by Europe for citizens during 2015 summer, with people and also young citizens speaking about EU future.The project will involve five countries (Italy, Germany, Hungary, Franse, Slovakia) with 22 young people and six educators.The project's goal is to give them the opportunity to talk about immigration with different point of view: people leaving their countries to excape from war or poverty, people living in hosting countries, policy makers and local authorities managing services and problems connected, second generation of migrants... the objects are increase young comprehension of a very complex field and be engaged in local, national and European discussion on it with own critical opinion, based on information and reflection instead of superficial spot diffused by media.The planned activities are:1. preparation of the meeting in terms of logistics and content, with a two day preparatory meeting in Vigolo Vattaro during spring 2016.2. six days, excluding travel, of meetings and discussions on the topic identified.3. evaluation of te experience and diffusion in the local communities through a specific event involving other young people and migrants living in partners' areas.Results and products: individual growth of groups and young participants; video documentary of the experience; virtual community through social media; photos and artistic products of te activities.Indicative timetable:1° day/sunday - arrival and welcome; 2° day/monday - introduction to the meeting; presentation of groups and participants; teambuilding and work on cultural and linguistic barriers; all this walking on te mountain around Vigolo Vattaro; 3° day/tuesday – presentation of Eu, national and local policies on immigration and quiz as a funny test; analysis and reinterpretation of video (TG, spot, politics interview...) with a content of immigration/razism; evening with migrants as testimonial of particular experiences; 4° day/wednesday – walking in Trento interview with the aim of understand immigration policies opinions of common people; construction of a short video with interview materials; 5° day/thusday – role play and discussion on prejudice connected with migration, during an amazing day on the Caldonazzo lake;6° day/friday – visit at a center for identification and assistance of migrant and discussion with people working and living there; organizing an event open to all local community, cooking own national food, to share works and ideas build during te week; 7° day/saturday – creation of the wishes lists (to be sent to local, national and European decision makers); planning of new activities and projects; common evaluation of the experience; evening with pizza and film (on the topic of immigration) open to all young people of Vigolo Vattaro and discussion;8° day/sunday – departures.The immigration policies are very different in the partner countries, through the project we want to establish a discussion and comparison to promote an empowerment of young people in a very sensitive topic and, through them, enlarge this sensitivity to as a larger number of people as possible. The impact on a medio-long term is build up communities of contious and critic citizens, able to find information, define a specific point of view out of stereotypes and act consequently.The diffusion of results will also focus on the idea to send the “Wishes lists” of the young to local, national and EU decision makers in the field of immigration. The local policy makers will be invited at the restitution evening in each partner country; during this event, with the format of the friday evening in Vigolo Vattaro, the young will tell what they have done, show videos and pictures, debate ideas and explain own wishes list. These lists will be sent by e-mail to regional policy makers, EU parliamentars elected in the partner regions, national ministers and EU commissioners.
