This study visit will take place in Austria in the district of Perg, the federal state of Upper Austria and in Vienna between 20.9. - 25.09.2015.
The aim is to cover a broad range from politics to the young person itself in order to empower the young person and to get a job to live a self-determined life. Examples of a structured dialogue can be seen and how young people can be involved in certain strategies.
For this we will travel around the district to visit certain community projects in the business and employment sector. Politicians (mainly mayors but also the youth of political parties) will be involved. A project will be shown where the district itself takes responsibility for the youth.
The partners met on different occasions where we realized that youth-unemployment is a highly debated topic within all countries. In a first step we visited several employment measures and made the apprenticeship system understandable for the partners. Now in this second step the partners were willing and lobbying at home to bring politicians and decision makers from the youth and youth (un)employment sector so that there is a higher commitment to undertake measures back home.
The project will be implemented by different methods (discussions, presentations, workshops, games and a LARP (=long action role play) as we discovered this as a very successful tool. The visit of different projects, politicians and companies will complete the picture.
