YOUTH CULTURE 65XXX - 2015 is an intercultural youth exchange for young people between 14 and 17, with a total of 5 participating countries. In youth cultural workshops such as Theater, circus, hip hop dance, parkour, graffiti and media young people create a performance for the local “youth culture” festival in the city of Wiesbaden. This is embedded in an intercultural learning program using experiential-pedagogics, speech animation, international evening and exploring the city of Wiesbaden and the surrounding area. An important goal of the YOUTH CULTURE 65XXX 2015 project is to pull the cultural diversity of the district into the project. The participation of youth from 5 different countries enhances it’s cultural diversity and will be made tangible for the youth trough specific methods. The view onto the participating cultures, traditions, values and norms will be part of the intercultural process. In the workshops, which constitute the main part of the project, the cultural diversity of the participants is presented artistically through joint activities. Ultimately, the young people are empowered and encouraged through the activities to intervene actively in the regional but also global cultural life.
