Inspired in the 2015 the European Year of Development “Our world, our dignity, our future” we will organize the youth exchange “Youth, creativity and development!” that will take place in Madeira from the 10th until the 17th of August 2015. During 8 days 36 young people from Romenia, Estonia and Portugal will be together to reflect, cooperate, learn, play and act. The main topics of this project is Youth, Creativity and Culture and Rural development and urbanization. We would like to underline the importance of the meaning beneath the European Year of Development and involve young people so that they can replect on their world, their dignity and their future in a way that they can become more active and contribute for the development of their community, their country and our world! We also want to celebrate the International Day of Youth on the 12th of August all together in Madeira and make it memorable and international through the painting of staircaises in a rural area of Madeira. During all the exchange we will use non formal education methods in different activities such as workshops about the Erasmus+ Programme and the Youthpass, multicultural afternoon, painting staircaises, using photography though Photovoice a methodology of social intervention, walks in the forest, outdoor activities, Theatre of the Oppressed, peddi paper, going to the beach, going to a museum, visiting the Mayor of a city, watching the dolphins, making a short video about the project. We also intend to create a collection of postcards with the best pictures of the project. As the follow up of the project we would like to do a creative short video about the hale experience that will contribute to disseminate the results and the impact of the project. This project will be promoted by the youth organization Associação Operação Vida in partnership with Instituto de Segurança Social da Madeira, IP-RAM envolving more than 70 young people with less opportunities from rural and urban áreas from treee diferente european countries. For the sustainability of the project and it´s success we will also have other important partnerships with governmental departments, sport associations, municipalities, etc. such us: Direção Regional de Juventude e Desporto, Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava, Junta de Freguesia do Campanário, Associção Desportiva do Campanário, Atelier Gatafunhos.
