Association „Unique projects“ is organising a project of Youth‘s exchange named "Your style - healthy life", which is going to be in Kaunas, Lithuania. The dates of the main exchanges of the project will be September 12nd through the 19th of 2015. Total project duration - 4 months. The planned number of participants - 28 (6 participants + 1 leader), ages 18-24. These are people who want to learn more about healthy lifestyle or who lack motivation to change their lifestyle.
A growing number of diseases and a variety of health problems are caused due to poor nutrition and lack of physical activity, so that is why the theme of the project is - a healthy lifestyle. Project aim: To encourage young people to take interest in healthy lifestyle elements, protecting and enhancing their health by their acceptable ways and means, to the continuity of the family and their environment.
The main activities of the project will include the lecture of a healthy lifestyle topic, practice breathing, stretching classes, meetings with representatives of a healthy lifestyle, team formation, reflection, workshops, healthy cooking, menu creation, consultations.
During the team- building and creative workshops time , participants will be in groups which will help to understand the importance of sharing work , learning to collaborate and listening to others opinions. Working in teams will help unfold not only as a group, but also as an individual.
Motivating video views, analysis and meetings with representatives of the healthy lifestyle club will give participants the opportunity to know more information , get advice , and most importantly - the motivation to change their lifestyle.
Lectures about healthy life style will be held during the exchange, which will be conducted by competetive persons. Participants with the help of a specialist will be able to make a menu according to individual needs, in addition to analyze their eating habits.
Practical exercises, meditation will help to relax their body and feel the harmony, listen to their body language and feel the impact of these activities and the benefits on oneself.
The project program will be conducted in cooperation with partners who also contribute to the exchange organising. The results will be disseminated in the following ways: by writing an article and sharing it in the Association Facebook group, in health magazine "Healthy Man," by meeting with members of association and other members of the society, sharing information, advices and got profit to the selected target group. One of the achieved results verifying - "PicBage" symbol that will use those people, which results of our project reached and helped them to look at their lifestyle otherwise.
We hope that this project will help to change attitudes and thinking to a healthy lifestyle. Participants not only learn that the two most important parts of forming a healthy lifestyle are - healthy diet + sport, but will gain the motivation and would develop the will to do so. They will learn about the principles of healthy nutrition and the benefits of sports, therefore they will be able to adapt the information in the future, to share the got profit with their family members and other people. A healthy nutrition and physical activity will improve the well-being, will reduce the likelihood of illness that occurs due to obesity, overweight or too little exercise.
