Young people, raise your voice - Europe can hear you
Start date: May 1, 2013,
With our International Youth Exchange DruL?tvo Center za pomoĔ mladim will bring together 60 young people with youth workers from Ljubljana (SI), Lisbon (PT) Hamburg (DE), Liverpool (UK), MA?laga (ES), Bratislava (SK) and Palermo (IT) for two weeks in July 2013 in Slovenia. During the exchange "Young people, raise your voice - Europe can hear you" youngsters with fewer opportunities and different ethnic backgrounds will learn through active citizenship, European consciousness, unemployment and will have the chance to work more on their social skills (explore relationships with themselfs and with others). We will present projects and communities, learn about life in different cities in Slovenia, present prepared workshops on the themes, share intercultural insights from their countries and communities, participate in intercultural evenings and self cooked meals and visit places of historical and cultural interest. They will also get the chance to raise their voices by organising and co-creating public events: "Play day with children" in Bohinj and "Living book" in Maribor. "Living book" presents a chance for young people and locals to share their opinions about Europe, citizenship, cultural differences, stereotipes and prejudices. The objectives/outcomes will be: increased self confidence, awareness of other European cultures and a knowledge of active citizenship and ways young people with fewer opportunities can learn to use their social skills and knowledge to overcome everyday challenges. The programe methodology will be daily plenary meetings with playful energizers, workshops on the theme, small group discussions, team-building activities, preparations for the public events. We will also use mid way evaluation, final evaluation, comments, looking forward and future networking.
