This year the school has celebrated its 95th anniversary and since its establishment it has aim to transform and modernize the content and the form of education students related to technological and cultural demands of the society.
The involvement of the school in Erasmus Plus and giving the opportunity to students to travel abroad to achieve the experience was an important element for the personal development of each student. Important was the increasing of quality level of the school for its graduates and has expanded to new possibilities for job market not just only in the domestic but also in global perspective of labor market. In the long term objectives this projects is also contributing to the enrichment of Czech artistic scene for its new trends and processes - the students had the opportunity in foreign environment to gain new experience and improve the skills that could be applied after the return in Czech context.
The main objective of the project was to support the theory and to develop the professional skills in real life. The project is contributing to the problematics of unemployment of young graduates. Students shortly after completing the school in creative and artistic fields are usually struggling and the aim of this project was to prepare them for the rapidly changing demands of the commercial market.
Realization of the internship experience in professional creative studios was bridging the aspects between theoretical studies and the labor market. Students had experienced workflows, improved their language skills - professionally and in common conversation aspect, thez had gained experience with teamwork and got inspiration for further growth and professional orientation. The outcome of our project is young creative graduate, who is able to implement his/hers talent in practice and to be able to move successfully in the commercial world of advertising and media. Our graduates had expanded abroad the awareness and good reputation of czech students formal preparation and got highly positive feedback on their work in foreign host organizations. It has impact on creation for new opportunities for the next generation of interns or Czech creatives looking for the employment abroad. Above all, school had gained new contacts for future cooperation.
The project, originally planned to implement a 21 motilities in total in four European destinations: England, Spain, Portugal and Germany. However, during the project we have increased the number of outgoing students to 25, and thus in England were sent to 6 participants, in Germany we had sent 4 participants, to Portugal we had 5 and in Spain we had implemented 10 mobilities which was maximum number.
Internships in Portugal had different duration - 5 weeks, participants completed internships and intensive language preparation in Portuguese language. In other countries, the interns worked 4 weeks, also attended language training in English, which was initiated based on project organization costs, above the project.
Internship participants are recruited among the students especially focused on the final grades of high school programme and college in fields of Interactive graphic art and drawing and field of illustration in the media.
Selection of trainees was determined based on the recommendations of the teachers, was taken into account the student's talent, student's school discipline and also his/hers social background (an effort to prioritize socially disadvantaged trainees).
In each project area we had worked with intermediary organizations that were responsible for the selection of the host organization, the guarantor of the training placement had to fulfill the criteria for successful implementation of learning outcomes and also acted as a psychological and practical support for our students. Intermediary organizations were also responsible for providing accommodation, local transportation and arranging to internships its relevant documentation, including the provision of ECVET.
Another important role the school played in the dissemination of project results. Each year the school organizes several major events for the general public, which is actively presenting the results of the project internship, which have become an important part of the school curriculum. In the section on dissemination describe these activities in detail.
During the project and even after its completing there was the emphasis on dissemination activities. Our main objective was to disseminate the results to information on the progress and results of the project to be available to target groups: students and graduates of secondary and higher vocational schools through the realization of dissemination workshops. Internship projects are currently being considered as the main theme and the motivator of school studies,
