The training course "You(th) in volunteering on margins" gathered 22 participants from 5 countries: Croatia, Slovenia, Germany, Romania and Bulgaria. The project was held in Split and lasted 5 days. Target group of this training course were active youth leaders and volunteer coordinators that had basic experience and education for their work, but needed to fine tune their knowledge, competences and skills regarding organising active youth work and voluntary activities with marginalised groups and thus more effectively improve proactive inclusion among youth and work on combating the social exclusion.Objectives of the project / training course were: To motivate youth leaders and volunteer coordinators to and empower them for active promotion of combating social exclusion in their projects and programmes; To empower youth leaders and volunteer coordinators in effective leadership, management and supervision of the youth activists / volunteers working with marginalised groups; To allow for exchange of practices among youth leaders and volunteer coordinators from different countries/communities on different aspects and perceptions of marginalisation, different insights and perceptions about youth work with marginalised groups; To develop more projects and activities, on local level and within the Youth in Action Programme, that are aimed at raising young people's awareness of everyone's responsibility in tackling poverty and marginalisation as well as at promoting the inclusion of groups with fewer opportunities.Methodology: the training course was based on the pedagogical understanding of the Council of Europe and the European Commission Partnership Programme and our own experience.
