Obesity is a common disease for EU citizens as one of the biggest health problems of the world which is also recognized by world health organization.
Obesity has been increasing because of the use of developing Technologies, decrease in physical activities, spending time at home rather than social activities, irregular eating habits.
In addition to these, many diseases like diabetic and goiter, environments, genetics, culture, biochemical reasons cause obesity.
In this regard, we aim to increase awareness for the youngsters in Europe to adopt healthy living conditions.
With 30 participants both from Europe and our nation, we aim to reach as much as peop?e with the activities to increase awareness about healthy nutrition and with researched and announcements.
Some of the participants were from the NGO?s working in the field of health, participated in projects or seminars related with nutrition and actively sporters.
And some of them were aged 15-30, suitable for the gender equality and 15 of them were with fewer opportunities.
Our participants were informed about healthy nutrition, could raise a solution in an international platform also in the cultural evenings they were able to exchange cultures.
During the project, our participants got informed about healthy life standards and healthy nutrition, the reasons causing obesity in global world, investigated the physiological reasons and came up with solutions. In this regard, they have evaluated the effects on the development of the society.
Presentations and workshops were done. With the help of these workshops, they had the chance to create new ideas, coherent team work, respect each other and communicate effectively.
In addition to these, with the help of personal presentations, participants gained confident and felt the proud of expressing themselves.
Participants have tried several types of healthy foods regarding the different cultural eating habits.
Those experiences helped them have new friends, new perspectives and a global awareness.
They had youthpass certificates.
They are know aware of how to develop empathy, feeling obesity in their bodies, learning names, meeting with others easily, observing, team working, evaluating, discussing, scientific researches, doing presentation, finding solutions, healthy nutrition, respecting cultural differences, having fun.
They were advised to share their experiences with others and apply it to their life.
The effect will follow automatically if participants use the awareness and information that thet gained in their life first.
The scary fact of the datas, observing obesity and detailed informing of participants during the project, helped at least 30 youngs to adopt healthy life standards. And as you can understand, it will have many other effects on others too.
The effect in short term cannot be possible but it is for sure that we will observe people adopting the healthy life style.
And we believe that we can follow our participants development in social media.
