The purpose of the project is to focus on the Nordic twinned cooperation among young people and to develop methods that can help to ensure that the cooperation is relevant for them. We want to use music festivals as one of the venues since festivals are one of the natural meeting places for young people of today. Our partner festivals want to take social responsibility and represent knowledge and skills, and has a great potential for non-formal and informal learning. The program is rooted in Trondheim municipality`s International strategy and in "Nordic Plattform" a governing document for cooperation among the Nordic Twin cities. Trondheim will be responsible for the program in 2015. We want this project to be the forrunner of a major project starting in 2016 within the framework of Strategic partnership. The outcome of the project in the first place is that the youth should develop proposals for activities and strategies for twin city work in the future. By involving young people in this matter we will ensure that the ideas and proposals have relevance and will be sustainable. The key element in the project is a Convention / venue where the use of Open Space Technology will provide knowledge and innovation. Through dialogue with government representatives, the participants will learn about opportunities for future work within the Nordic cooperation. Through meetings with other stakeholders the youth would experience how to organize events from an environmental perspective. Sustainable environments are important today, and even more important in the future. The participants will experience methods helping them to create a future for themselves, and provide inspiration for the respective homesteads . The experience they acquire , will be of great relevance to in their future acitivity. For the initiators of the project it can be the best opportunity to reconstruct the twin city work. A modernization of this work is absolutely necessary for the future. In this and the follow-up project we will develop an online tool for dialogue and interaction. With actors such as municipalities and festivals, the results could make a major impact in the population. We emphasize that Festivals are natural meeting places for the youth. They represent a competence that will be of great value to the participants and contribute to new ways in the planning of events.
