YE-Hands-on Europe!
Start date: Jan 1, 2015,
End date: Jan 1, 2016
PROJECT
FINISHED
This project is titled "Hands-on Europe", which refers to the participants' mutual interest and hobby - handball - , to human interaction and active participation (Wikipedia/hands-on) and last-but-not-least to European awareness.
One thing is learning about European countries and culture in school. Much more interesting and exciting is learning by doing, and getting hands-on experiences through group exchanges between young Europeans! This project is about thirteen handball girls from Norway travelling to Malta to meet their peers in the beginning of 2015, and some months later there will be organised a group exchange with the same girls in Norway. During the project the girls will learn about each other countries. How is daily life in the partner country, seen through the eyes of girls around the same age? What are the differences and the similarities? The girls have picked out the following topics to get hands-on Europe experiences: sports and team spirit, Europe, mountains, our coast, our city, equality and sand/ice! We will use various games like the Experience Europe game, mini-Olympics, icebreakers and icebreakers,
we will do fun physical activities together, we will show our coast and our cities to each other, we will discuss European culture and equality, we will show each other home-made films of our daily life, interview the local people, taste new dishes and prepare food together. The desired result should be a lot of learning and a lot of good memories!!!!! After the last group exchange we will discuss a follow-up project.
