The training „World at our home” was implemented in Poland (Nowy Gierałtów), 08-15.08.2015. The training group will be composed out of 18 local volunteers, workers and youth leaders from 5 different countries, that are involved in promotion and education about Human Rights. The participation in the project proviided them with broader knowledge about human rights, with special focus on children protection and refugees law, responsibility to protect doctrine (R2P), together with knowledge about international institutions and organizations supporting promotion and education about Human Rights, such as United Nations and Council of Europe.
Besides the theoretcal knowledge, the main aim of the project was to equip the participants in practical tools and methods needed in youth work, in order to enrich their skils and simplified acting as Human Rigths educators. The training wias run by experienced youth trainers with academic background and practical expertise from humanitarian and development projects related to the topic of the project.
The main core of the project is 8-days long training course. During the stay, participants participated in games, simulations and exercises about the topic. Due to active participation in activities and ewaluation provided for any of them as well as for the whole training, the youth leaders and youth workers will learn how to implement the knowledge learned in practical activities and workshops after being back home.
