The project is carried out in southern Finland, a medium-sized municipality in which international education is quite a new thing. The project target group is mainly young people who are relatively less opportunities to participation, activities and opportunities to travel. Voluntary worker's input is allocated broadly also to other target groups, including schools in our municipality.
Volunteers work in our municipality schools, leisure centers, youth clubs and camps. They will have access to the Finnish education system, youth services, youth unemployment, youth care and comprehensive support for a better life. Volunteers should be interested to work with children and young people, and they must be prepared to work independently and work sequencing.
The project includes two young volunteers from around the world. Our purpose is to improve young people's knowledge of Europe, the internationalization opportunities and provide positive role models for different life paths discovery. We believe that by bringing international young people's to own local young people among us to work together to find new solutions and options for training, well-being and the good life.
Janakkala residents and municipal employees of the project will bring a lot of new things. New kinds of ways of doing the work, a new type of cultural habits and a new language of communication. A self-assessment and reflection, as well as on the telling and working together with the volunteer help at its best employees to develop and use more creative and diverse approaches to their work.
