The project is carried out in southern Finland, a medium-sized municipality where international education is quite a new thing. The project target group is mainly young people who have relatively less opportunities for participation, activities and travelling. Voluntary workers's input is allocated broadly also to other target groups, including schools in our municipality. Volunteers work in our municipality schools, leisure centers, youth clubs and camps. They will have access to the Finnish education system, youth services, youth unemployment, youth care and comprehensive support for a better life. Volunteers shoud be interested to work with children and young people, and they must be prepared to work independetly and work sequencing. Volunteers have to support healthy habits and they have to have healthy realitonship towards alcohol, drugs and tobaggo. The project includes two young volunteers from different part of EU. Our purpose is to improve young people's knowledge of Europe, the international opportunities and to provide positive role models for different life ways discovery. We believe that by bringing international young people here to work and live with our local people we will together find new solutions and options for training, well-being and good life. Janakkala resindents and municipal employees of the project will get a lot of new things; new ways of doing a work, new cultural habits and new language. A self-assessment and reflection, as well as the telling and working together with the volunteer will open many eyes.
