Start date: Aug 15, 2016, End date: Apr 14, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

After more than seven years of European economic crisis it is experiencing a significant decline in empathy among their citizens in general and among its young people in particular. The recent migration crises problematic add a plus to the political situation, in which we see as extremism, populism and nationalism reappeared on the political scene. We think it is urgent and necessary debate about the need for more effective structures and common European democratic governance. Discuss the benefits of the EU model, first supranational democracy in the world, as well as the instruments that Europe offers young. Therefore it is essential to return to bring together young people from AndalusiaYoung Europeans on these issues is essential in order to promote a sense of European belonging that goes beyond a vision of Europe focusing solely on economic issues is often in the media. European citizenship implies a broader concept that we want to promote. Europe must be responsible for training new generations of young people developing the pillar of European citizenship, provide new perspectives and opportunities for young entrants to full citizenship, to address the challenges of a multicultural and interdependent world and to put the emphasis on values of equality and respect for diversity by its young participants and co-responsible in the decision-making process of these policies. Thus, we propose the development of "ES Working on Federalism and Democracy in Europe - WOFDEU - 2016". The project will be developed during 2016 and will be organized around transnational workshop catalyst on European Citizenship and Democracy to be held in Torremolinos (Malaga) with the participation of institutions and people from different parts of Europe. The project will focus on the development of concepts of European Citizenship, Youth Empowerment, Participatory Democracy and Structured Dialogue and the issues arising and to encourage democratic participation tools, which are available to European citizens and sometimes little known. 2016 we are presented as a moment with communication synergies for the development of this project. In the project, we must not forget the active participation of young people to encourage the rebuilding of a young citizenry that, given the crisis we are experiencing, is facing the risk of disaffection and loss of democratic values and participatory that sustain our social model. So we want to convey that the future of Europe goes through the construction of major roads policy and federal coordination mechanisms, thus providing young people values of optimism and commitment to building our democratic society. Therefore, "ES WODFEU 2016" proposes several activities, which will be included 30 young people, aged 18 to 30, from different European countries, as well as experts / ace and policy makers in this area. The activities will be carried out in person for 5 days in the city of Torremolinos (Malaga) but carries an equally important phase of preparation and downstream communication and dissemination of results.
