The project WOW ! - "Wonderful Opportunity of Work placement" will allow students in their final year of National BTEC to do their final work placement in Great Britain. They are from eight different professionnal fields mostly industrial.For four weeks, our students will be employed in companies and accommodated in host families.This is a project of complete immersion. The linguistic benefits should be easily measured in the different oral tests for the National BTEC exam. This project also aims at developing numerous personal skills ( autonomy, open-mindedness, awareness of their European citizenship).It should, therefore, contribute to improving their personal development , help them become more mature and it will give them the taste for mobility on a national scale as well as a European one. This experience will also be a major asset as regards their employability.This project is in keeping with the academic project (developing European and international partnerships to improve language skills and encourage the students'adaptabiliy and mobility). It will enable our vocational students to broaden their cultural horizon what is not natural for a large proportion of them. Furthermore, the desire of our structure is to promote this type of project for the students in BTEC Higher National Diploma. For the latters, an Erasmus University Charter has recently been signed and our first HND students should take part in a mobility at the end of the school year.We wish to encourage or create a real appetite for mobility in our students.
