With our project "Wolontariat dla wsparcia osób z niepełnosprawnościami" we aim to increase social acceptance of people with physical and mental disabilities in society by presenting their stories in an interesting, modern way with use of media tools and with guidance from EVS volunteers. We would like the society to get to know our participants, beyond the stereotypes, in order to be able to resonate with them and, in the end impact on their integration in the society. We will be accompanied in the process of digital storytelling by our EVS volunteers, that can bring their motivation and passion for digital tools and in return, develop their competences in a large area of activities. Together with EVS volunteers we want to use film techniques (full-motion video with sound), animation, photographs, audio, text or any of the other forms of media to encourage our participants-the people with disabilities- to tell their story or/and present their message to the world. We plan to use digital storytelling on sites like You Tube, Facebook, Google+ & Twitter to promote the stories and the work of our EVS volunteers. Beside working at this main project idea, the EVS volunteers will have the chance to:- offer assistance and support in our workshops with person with dissabilities- design and realise their own workhops and events (from art workshops, to cultural, film evenings, to photo exhibitions, according to volunteers passions and needs), on various themes with and for people with dissability- offer assistance in our daily organization life-help our participants to dress, move, carry out different activitiesEuropean Volunteers will learn how to work with people with physical and intellectual disabilities, they will have a chance to puttheir creative ideas, organize multi-stage design workshop taking into account both work, creative work, as well as coordination of activities related to the presentation of project achievements to a wider audience (in participating in a show of the multimedia material created during the project and organization of exhibitions of photographic works in the urban space, documenting the various stages of carrying out the project).The project has a duration of 10 months, between September 2016 and June 2017and is the result of collaboration between partner organisations Miedzynarodowe Stowarzyszenie Pomocy "Slysze Serce" from Poland, Non-governmental organization "Kharkiv association for active youth "Stella" from Ukraine and Scambieuropei from Italy.
