The project "Wireless for Adult Education" aims to increase the capacity of Wireless asbl in the field of adult education. Wireless is a new and dynamic organisation working in the field of non-formal education. We have implemented several projects for adult learners on the local level and have established partnerships with NGOs from other countries. However, the organisation would need further support and training in order to develop further. This project would help us train our staff in several key areas that we identified. Our team members would develop their skills in the field of project management and NGO management. They would attend a training for trainers and develop their skills in non-formal education. They would also get topic-specific training on several of our priority topics - citizenship, media education and global problems. This will help us coordinate our educational projects more efficiently and reach more adult learners in Belgium. It would also help us enlarge our pool of trainers and offer higher quality of educational programmes for adult learners. Finally, the project would also be a chance for us to extend our international network of partners and establish new and deeper partnerships. Apart from the training courses abroad, there would be also other activities within the project. Our staff members would be provided with thorough preparation, including several preparation meetings, preparation newsletter and international Skype workshops with the trainers. They would also prepare their own personal development plans after the trainings. As part of these plans, they would use their new skills in practice, prepare their own projects and disseminate results of the training courses. Through this project, Wireless asbl would be able to establish itself as a provider of high-quality activities of non-formal education for adult learners. It would be a huge step forward for the organisation and it would enable us to reach more adult learners from Wallonie and the whole Belgium.
