The project „Who’s afraid of ICT?” will be implemented at the College of Economics during 24 months. This project will be an innovative one by the fact that it will bring a major change in the institution through the teaching-learning-evaluationn methods adapated to the new educational European standards, in the context of a powerful development of digital learning. The purpose of implementing the project is that of improving and developing new competences of 24 teachers who teach different theoretical subjects in order to implement new approaches of education in European context, centered on developing key competences in students, thus turning regular classes into more attratice and motivating activities. The established objectives are focused on developing the teachers’ competences of using teaching methods and strategies based on ICT instruments, rainsing by 50% the number of activities integrating interactive methods centered on developing key competences during teaching-learning activities and developing the level of linguistic competences of the teachers. The 24 selected teachers will be involved in training courses provided by six European training centres in 7 flows. The teachers will be selected in such a way as to cover all the theoretical subjects taught in school, so as the new methods to be adapted to each subject and to offer the chance for a real change at the level of the institution. Training the teachers in different centers will allow the acquisition of diverse competences and abilities, getting into contact with various examples of good practice in order to offer the teachers in our school a multitude of alternatives out of which they can choose what is best fitted to their personality and the subject they teach. The project will be implemented in three stages: preparation, implementation and follow-up. During the preparation stage the teacher will benefit from linguistic, pedagogical and intercultural preparation, all of them meant to develop basic competences wich will be further developed during the mobilities. During the implementation stage the teachers will acquire multiple competences: capacity of meeting the students’ needs and to adapt the methods to the new requirements and tendencies of the modern world; the ability to stimulate students to take part actively into the learning process and ability to motivate them to get involved in their own profesional and personal development; linguistic competences which will allow a real exchange of good practice with teachers from other European institutions, which will support the process of modernising the system of education in our institution. During the follow-up stage there will be implemented the new methods acquired during the training course and there will be elaborated the products meant to ensure the sustenability of the project (auxiliary teaching material incuding examples of activities for different subjects, web pages/blogs of the teachers including online learning activities). By implementing the project there will be created a mode modern, more dynamic, more engaged and more professional environment in the institution, the activity of the school innovative and improved by more attracive activities for students, according to their needs and expectations. The cooperation with European partners will be strengthened, the relationships established during the training course leading to a long term coopration with European institutions and to establishing new projects meant to consolidate the European dimension of our school.
