The project "Who let the bullies out?" is a training course that will be realised in U.K. from the 18th till the 23rd October 2016, with the participation of 30 participants plus 2 trainers and 2 staff members from 10 countries Greece, Portugal, Romania, Hungary, Spain, Croatia, Italy, Latvia, Slovakia & United Kingdom.The training course aims to create an inspirational learning space for exchange of experience and good practice. Its main aims is to support youth workers to find tools, to improve skills and to gain more knowledge to prevent bullying and to create safe environments in which children and young people can live, grow, play and learn.The very project idea developed among partner promoters who expressed their concerns over the rise of bullying phenomenon in their countries. The project and its successive activities are aimed at those working (volunteers and/or employed staff) actively with young people and children. These could be either youth workers or group leaders, educators and teachers, social workers, psychologists and people working with young people and kids coming from disadvantage environment.The specific objectives of the project are:-to raise young people’s awareness about the problem of bullying, the importance of joint efforts in tackling this issue, and the dramatic differences in the understanding of bullying in various countries and cultures; -to allow participants to hear about the best practices and successes in current anti-bullying work;-to encourage youth workers, teachers and those who work with young people to support youngsters in bullying issues using non-formal educational activities; -to provide participants with knowledge, skills, and confidence in the area of non-formal education, techniques, and messaging;-to develop tools which would make the concept of anti-bullying attractive, cool, and fun to follow for youngsters;-to enable young people to develop their own educational modules and policies which they will bring to their local communities and implement with youngsters -to build up a network of anti-bullying messengers which would allow participants to support each other.-to support social development, open up new opportunities, acquire essential competencies, promote personal development, allow intercultural & diversity learning, and encourage creative/active participation. The planned activities and working methods have been selected according to the principles of non formal learning. Thereforethey are highly participative, cooperative and rather self reflective. Several learning opportunities have been predicted and designed and surely incalculable others will occur through interaction, co-existence and cooperation.Participants will be encouraged to act as a multiplier in order to spread the project's results and/or use these results in the organisation of future projects both within the Erasmus + Programme and beyond. Through that we aim to raise young people’s awareness about the problem of bullying. Online dissemination of results and tools through the social media platform that we are going to use, will serve to further enhance the multiplying effect and give a sustainable impact.
