WE KNOW HOW is a project which was created through the cooperation of two organizations: Gymnasium im. prof. Stefana Myczkowskiego in Czarna from Poland and Municipal Office in Borox from Spain. This action is aimed mainly at young people and their needs, but planned activities may also affect the local community. The group which is going to implement tasks, will consist of 28 participants from Polish and Spanish - leaders and young people of 14-15 years old. Team members come from small towns and villages – undeveloped area with a poor educational offer. Youth, chosen to take part in the project, don’t have any experience of international cooperation with other groups of the same age on common goals. The main objective of the project is stimulation of creativity and entrepreneurial skills among youth. Very important part of this action, is the possibility of intercultural exchange and developing knowledge of participants, e.g. about the differences between groups, making dialogue and looking for common answers and compromises. Participation in the activities, should also inspire young people for the active involvement in the matters relating to the local environment and its development. To achieve targets of the project, there were planned number of activities – to ensure success in accomplishing goals. Each phase of the project will be support by the young people from the two partner organizations. They will participate actively in carrying out tasks. Important part of the project is the real meeting of these two groups of youth and keep work together. The place of youth exchange is the village of Czarna Górna, where the group will spend six days together. They will take part in the activities, which will provide many attractions and support the learning process and developing competences of the participants.Educational methods, which are going to be use during planned activities of the project, are nonformal education methods, which will involve youth for active participation and encourage them to take the initiative, eg .: artisan workshops during which everyone will have a chance to try be a creator; creative presentations of the cultures from the countries of two groups; discussions about innovative solutions and inventions, material and energy resources; creative work on the promotion of inventions and products which will be created during the exchange; teamwork of international cooperation, group building activities. The results of the project will concern development of participants: their knowledge on innovative inventions and process of creating products, natural resources and renewable energy, skills of building promotional messages and presenting information in a large group, experience in organizing international meetings, ability to communicate in a foreign language, increase awareness on cultural differences. Tangible results of the project, will be products made personally by the participants during the workshop, eg .: ceramic, as well as promotional message: poster, recording.By participating in the project WE KNOW HOW, youth will have the opportunity to develop skills that may be important, during planning and building a personal career. In addition, the learning process, which so far seems to be monotonous and boring, can become an attractive way to spend time and encourage further participation in other educational events. This may contribute to reducing the number of young people from rural and undeveloped area, from early school leaving. Implementation of the project and its successful results, may encourage organizations to continue and to develop international cooperation, engaging in new projects, cooperating not only in the youth sector, but using international experience for purposes related to the development of the local communities, improving conditions and promoting this places across whole Europe.
