We can't speak but we can communicate" is a project between 16 disadvanaged persons, aged between 14 and 19 years old from Spain, Poland, Portugal and Montenegro. These persons have speech impairment and are wheelchair users but it doesn't means they cannot communicate and cannot travel. The project will be established in July 2016 (from 26 to 31 excluding days of travel) during 6 days. The activities will be held in Spain, in Sant Andreu Salou (1h20 from Barcelona) and few of them in Barcelona.The objectives of "we can't speak but we can communicate" are : - 1) Improve their way of communication by exchanging differents methods used in the 4 countries, in order to enrich their communication with others, so to improve their future. We planed as well art activities in which the participants will have to express themselves with photography, music, drawings and theatre to understand all the differents ways of communication they still have.- 2) Introduce them to the European cultural diversity with a non formal education by having interactive task to do in Barcelona and presentations by the partners about the traditions of their country.- 3) Give the opportunity of the participants to discover and live the experience of "European familly". Each participant requires total care. We need one helper per participant to assist them in all the daily life's tasks. Moreover, we need 4 medical assistants (one per country) to ensure the safety and the medical care of the participants. Each partner have a group leader to coordinate the project in their own organization. Each group leader will take part in the youth exchange by being one of the helpers required for each participant.There gonna be 16 participants + 16 helpers (including 4 group learders) + 4 medical assistance. Through non-formal education approach we will match learning processes with fun thought workshops, interactive activities in the place where the project will be and direct implication of the students in every activities.. All the activities will be held in a participation-friendly environment so that each participant will be encouraged to express one’s ideas, create content and enjoy the project, on the collective and indvidual scope. Then, due to their disabilities, the activities we planned are specifictly adapt to their needs. The after YouthExchange will consist to show to local community that disabled person are still an important part of the society and they are perfectly able to execute a lot of different tasks. The participants will organise a lot of events as organize meetings with organisations, make presentations in house of culture or even published articles in local newspapers."We can't speak but we can communicate" is the dream of 16 disadvantaged person by going abrove for the fisrt time of their life, meeting the European Culture, making new international friends, improving their tools of communication and existing more within the society.
