Association created in 1954, the MJC MPT of Voreppe vocations’ are to favour person’s autonomy and self-realization, to allow everyone to get access to education and culture, to allow public to contribute to the construction of a more united and fairer society. The MJC MPT of Voreppe deals more especially with young public. Thru its activities it aims to favour their open-mindedness to a better “live together”. Now, we want to add a new direction to our mission by opening it to an international dimension. Despite intensive usage of media and social networks, making connections between people easier, we notice that most of our young audience gets difficulties to plan their geographic mobility outside their regions, cities and even their own suburbs. These difficulties can be linked to various sources: lack of self-confidence, feeling of linguistic problem (language barrier) (sometimes real), individual psychological barrier, family culture… This first action aims to work on these sources for the participants and also to become a reference for the other young people of our area. We want, in particular, to focus on the youths’ commitments: what does make some of them being involved in their district? What are the triggering factors ? What are the gains to them ? We want to distinguish commitment whatever the type it takes : voluntary worker in an association, civil service… or any other informal or non-periodic commitment. This action will involve 12 young French aged 16 to 17 years with 12 young Spanish, “Voluntaradio SJ” group, from Gines near Sevilla, Spain. This group will be leaded by 4 leaders (2 Spanish and 2 French). Equality (parity) between men and women is one our goal, in the group and in the leaders too. Thru meetings and workshops between these volunteers and the associations, relying on the participants, we want to write the scenario of a silent movie about young people commitments. This movie will be recorded and edited in the second stage of the project : reception of the young French in Spain at the end of August.
