WE ARE ALL IN THE SAME SHIP

The youth exchange “WE ARE ALL IN THE SAME SHIP: sustainable life styles through different youth cultural approaches”, will be held in San Giorgio a Cremano, a suburbs of Naples, hosted in Villa Bruno (Via Cavalli di Bronzo 22), from the 24th to 31st of March 2012. The participants will be 24 and the project will be 8 days long. The countries involved are: Italy, Germany, Serbia and FYROM. The main theme of the project is the environment and the promotion of sustainable life styles through the discover of different cultural approaches. It will be analyzed how the individuals consumes are influenced by several aspects such as culture, ethics, and values. To improve the communication and the education of youngsters, is essential to meet the objectives of the environmental challenges and to promote a sustainable management of natural resources in the future: youngsters are the key stakeholders for a change. The aim of the project is: to raise awareness on environment protection measures; to search for new sustainable life styles that can be adopted in the different countries by youngsters and adults and targeted to the local needs; to put in relevance the importance of a more natural life style against environmental pollution and climate change; to make participants in a deeper contact with natural elements. In order to join these objectives it will be shared good practices and divergent knowledge on environmental field, will be organized workshops to create a common sharing towards the topic and a study visit. By using non-formal education methodology and peer to peer education, the participants will have the chance of bringing their own experience and resources and starting to share their personal experience through practical and concreate activities.
