Water & sustainability in educational approaches
Start date: Jan 15, 2015, End date: Jun 15, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our ten-day-training was located in the culture and education center Raul Wallenberg and takes place on 17.2.-26.2.2015. We expected 32 trainees from Germany, Romania, Portugal & Italy, who all had experience on working with youth and young adults. According to the motto ”Involving the topic Water & Sustainability in pedagogical practice" the participants experimented with different pedagogical approaches & methods, which allow them to integrate different dimensions of the topic water & sustainability (ecological, economic, political, social) in their daily pedagogical work. In particular, it focused on learning, trying out, discussing and evaluating a large variety of pedagogical approaches: The pedagogical approaches & methods include among other things busniess games, excursions, cooking with ecologically sustainable criteria, guided tours and further interactive exercises and methods in the field of intercultural and environmental education. Furthermore the participants received inputs and background knowledge on the topic water & sustainability. The pedagogical approaches provide the participants the opportunity to include the topic water & sustainability in their daily pedagogical routine. This means that the participants can change the attitude and behaviour of the youth toward a more sustainable use of water. The participants recognize that the water crisis needs global solutions and they transfer their knowledge to the youth. The training will be held in englisch.
