Walking into a future of no borders (WIF-NB)

The project aims to create an interactive themed museum based on the remainings of the Lisse Bunker, which is located at Ocyron village in the Municipality of KatoNevrokopi. The museum along with actions in the town of Gotse Delchev at the other side of the border will augment the friendship and tourist development in the two regions and countries.On the Bulgarian side of the border, a cultural-historical visitor centre 16 km south of Gotse Delchev in Popovi livadi will be created as it is the place which is most connected to the historical events of the area and easily accessible from the border. The Wallachia Church Council of St. 12 Apostles» and the First Border Barrack will also be refurnished and reshaped in order to prepare it for visitors who will follow the path of history between Nevrokropi and the villages of Gotse Delchev.The primary goal is to create facilities for tourism and mobility in the regions on both sides of the border. The 4 main attractions will therefore create a «tourist trail» specialising in historical and cultural tourism.
