PROJECT
FINISHED
This project focuses on the organization of professional placements for students of vocational schools (2 weeks) and technical school (4 weeks) in enterprises in Sicily and Germany.
The target group are students at the age of 16-19 years. Participants represent following subjects: advertising, logistics, hairdresser, car mechanic, cook and confectioner.
One of the aims of the project is to familiarize participants with the labor market and the requirements set against an employee in local companies abroad. The project also familiarizes young people with professional terminology used in foreign companies to help them find a job later on both the national and international labor market. Young people become open to the possibility of living and working abroad.
In addition, young people will become more tolerant and open to multiculturalism and religious and ethnic diversity in Europe, to the implementation of the assumptions of "learning through life." Also the teachers participating in the project will increase the level of their competences, and after returning from the exchange will affect the level of teaching in the school, as well as in other schools in the region. The project will be promoted on the websites of school and partner organizations.
It is anticipated that the project will positively affect not only the level of education of young people, but also to other target groups. Thanks to the transfer of modern technology from foreign companies, it will be possible to develop Polish local businesses. Enhancing skills of the students will also affect reduction of unemployment in the region by increasing participation of young people in the labour market.
