The project is aimed to develop and test a web-based virtual training solution in the area of Computer Numerical Control (CNC). This platform is expected to allow both the sharing of e-Learning material as well as fostering the development of electronic educational content for CNC. The core of the educational activities will be a new CNC curriculum developed on the basis of a survey analysis in the educational systems in participating countries. Then, in order to make the teaching program more interactive, simulation software and the associated guideline materials for trainers and tutors will be developed. To achieve these goals the following activities are planned: database development of the team members, curriculum development, content development, production of the virtual training centre and testing of the platform. Target groups include trainers and trainees in the area of CNC or technicians working in companies. The impact is mainly targeted to change the way in which CNC is trained, to offer better employment opportunities and to contribute to the transparency of competences.
