In cooperation with 12 partners from EU Programme Countries, the Italian organisation Vicolocorto aims to realise a Partnership Building Activity to strengthen the partnership among ONG operating as hosting, sending or coordinating EVS organization and to raise the quality of EVS projects. EVS project are opportunities for youngster to their personal development but also they raise their competences and skills which can be transferred to Job Placement. At the same time, it’s a delicate project where youngster and organization face several challenges which can be more easily solved when a strong partnership is established among them. In that context this project wants to offer an opportunity to team members of youth organization active in EVS to meet, to share their best practices, methods and values on EVS. As a result cooperation between youth NGOs is aimed to plan and implement more inclusive EVS project designed on the target group and needs of youngster and reinforcing the trust and the communication among partners. The project “VON - Volunteering Opportunities Network” will take place Pesaro, Italy, on 23-28 March 2015. The course will bring together 24 youth workers directly involved in EVS in their function as project coordinators, mentors of volunteers, volunteer coordinators on the hosting, sending and coordinating side. By using a set of non-formal educational methods such as group work, role plays, exercises and trainee-led workshops, the participants are expected to improve also their soft skills in intercultural team work and communication and it will provide space to the participants share their experiences in youth field, and facilitate an open exchange of competencies among them. Additionally, around 10 follow-up projects shall be planned during the project. These follow-up projects should be international projects in the frame of the Erasmus+: Youth Programme, addressing community needs and tackling the employment issue of youngster. Moreover, partnerships between the project partners will be established for an exchange of educational resources such as manuals, handbooks and guidebooks, exchange of educational personnel and sharing of project documentations.
