Volunteering in rural areas

The project aims to provide youth leaders/workers with useful tools for strengthening of social competences and active participation of youths in the rural community and promote volunteering for social change.The training course will take place in Kumanovo, Macedonia and will gather 20 participants from 10 European countries (Albania, Serbia, Kosovo, Austria, Italy, Malta, Slovakia, UK, and Macedonia). The activity of the training will be implemented in village Pelince, close to Kumanovo, Macedonia and its hosted by Proevce-Centre for Rural Development. The project activity it’s intensive a 8 days training course for youth workers and youth leaders in volunteer management in rural areas, to empower them to promote volunteering as tool for social inclusion of youngsters coming from marginalized and rural areas.The theme of the project is to provide space for sharing and development of competencies of youth worker/leaders for development of volunteer work in rural communities and creation of new tolls for use of non formal education with youngsters with fewer opportunities. The methodology that will be used during the training is non formal education, pointing out learning by experience and self directed learning. Finally by the end of the activity will be published and disseminated an online handbook including useful tools for youth workers and leaders for volunteer management. We believe that youth workers/leaders are the best multipliers on the community and increasing their competencies will have a greater impact on strengthening the social competencies of youngsters coming from rural areas.
