The Auslandsgesellschaft, the OK Magdeburg and the partner from Armenia want to give the opportunity to one volunteers in the EVS- projects from Armenia to design and develop projects in the intercultural and media work and participate in a daily work in the open channel and the local events during the year of this volunteering service. By our local partners in Magdeburg the volunteer will accompany concrete intercultural projects in fields such as film or working with internet. Moreover he will self- initiate his own projects and put them into practice. This long-term individual stay abroad enhances their intercultural competence as well as his intercultural learning and experience and shapes his further personal development. Through his work in the various fields the volunteer will strengthen and develop his so-called soft skills in the form of self-employment and appearance, teamwork and cooperation, empathy and understanding for others. During the stay he will also enrich his language knowledge and the knowledge for Germany which can lead to better job opportunities in his future. The experience gained in the various activities should open them new perspectives and illustrate the importance of tolerance, democracy and intercultural learning and active participation in our society and clarify his relationship to Europe. At the same time the activities of our volunteer will enhance our own work through the new perspectives, problems and ideas of these young people. The international character of our activities will be visible in everyday work.
