The proposed project "Volunteer @ ICYE International Office 2015/2016" aimes at enabling the engagement of a young person from Denmark in the work of the ICYE International Office, headquarters of the ICYE Federation located in Berlin, Germany. This 12-month project will be a learning experience for both volunteer and staff of the ICYE IO. The main objective is to promote youth mobility, intercultural exchange and active citizenship amongst young Europeans. The volunteer will receive on-the-job training and will work on programmatic and administrative issues linked to ICYE’s international youth exchange and voluntary service programmes, in particular Erasmus Plus projects and related activities: project management, networking, supporting member and partner organisations in the voluntary exchange, public relations, etc. The learning process of the volunteer will be supported by practical training whenever needed, formal and informal discussions as well as weekly and monthly planning and sum-up meetings with staff at the ICYE IO. Moreover, the volunteer will participate in the trainings and evaluation meetings offered by the German National Agency. The project will be coordinated by Dansk ICYE, working in close cooperation with the host organisation, the ICYE International Office.
