Volunteers in Mental Health "The project aims to promote the welfare of people with mental disorders through the involvement of European volunteers, through their involvement in the process of psychosocial rehabilitation and employment of people, to facilitate community participation and integration Project beneficiaries are approximately 60 users and their families.The project is located within our Association, two resources for people with mental illness Community Residence and Special Employment Center Albacet.The objectives we want to achieve for people with mental illness and collaboration with EVS volunteer are:• Promote the acquisition or recovery of skills necessary for life in community and adjust to personal and social issues.• To encourage acceptance of the disease and monitoring of medical treatment• Provide the ability to confront and resolve conflicts between people with disabilities• Reduces the risk of relapse and hospitalization• Encouraging a return to the community of people with more autonomy• Promoting social integration in the community• Supporting families• Reduce the social stigma of the disease• Create community awareness, inform and promote the active participation of organizations and individuals in the process of integration.• To support the adjustments to the positions of Special Employment Centre.The activities which provide voluntary support to achieve the above objectives are:• theater Workshops• Sport activities• Citizen Participation Program• Computer and Cognitive Skills• Programme of activities of daily living• Crafts Workshop• Program Psicomotricidad• Intercultural activities• Raising awareness• Activities of daily living
