VOCATIONAL E-LEARNING PROGRAM FOR CROSS-BORDER PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT

In preparing to offer an innovative mobility program targeting the cross border workforce exchange, PCCI and RCCIL analyzed their company databases and the respective regions business environment with the aim to identify branches having a similar development in both countries. Another requirement during this preliminary study was to select branches in which the need for employees of the given type (highly skilled workforce for mid-level managerial positions) is especially acute and therefore the companies and their employees would benefit most from the proposed innovative training. A third consideration in selecting the target groups and final beneficiaries was the fact that skilled workforce, while essential for both regions economic development, is underrepresented in programs supporting training and "learning anywhere anytime" activities. With the rapidly changing business environment and production technology, these skilled workers face the dilemma of constantly improving their qualification in an environment of scarce vocational training offerings in the necessary quality. In addition, such employees are the typical consumers of flexible learning forms such as e-learning and m-learning allowing them to learn in their spare time. The promotion of e-learning among trainers of the border regions will, in turn, allow the trainers themselves to raise their competitiveness on the service market and enhance their pedagogical skills.Further other industries can also be included in the cross border mobility scheme, which will be facilitated by the envisaged agreement between the two Chambers on the sustainable development and enhancement of this new joint offering. Achievements: The project achieved the following results:• Adapted and updated version of the Net Trainers learning content suitable for training of further vocational enterprise trainers on the Moodle platform;• Developed training content for two vocational training seminars and organization of the net training course;• Organized two vocational training seminars in the branches machine building and apparel;• Developed and conducted two surveys for selecting well motivated enterprises from the target sectors;• Three press-conferences were conducted for promoting the project progress;• A 10-minute advertising film concerning the Net trainers was produced.
